  I know that my rating says one but i would like to declare now that its half a star- and that is only because the food was quite nice. I came in a while back and had quite a horrible evening- my day had been stressful and coming into cullen bay was supposed to be a way of getting my stress out leaving it behind and enjoying my lovely evening. This was until i stepped into the hotel- i began to see all the flaws with the hotel as soon as i walked up. Anyway got sat down by a waitress whose name was either Jude or June she seemed nice friendly which is what you want when being served however hearing her downtalking to staff and goving foul looks to members of the staff was quite off putting when she came back to take our order. Of course she put the nice act on and got past the doors before the evil glanced commenced! Also the what i believe the owners of the hotel were arguing at the front desk which i thought was very unprofessional. I had the fish pie whivh was amazing really enjoyed that so big pat on the back to the chef who made that. There were staff looking bored many of them just standing watching us eat which was very off putting its bad enough me eating infront of my friends let alone having daff watch you aswell. There seemed to be only the two people one a waitor and a young watress that were coming in and out of the room the others just stood there so it was clear to me who was working and who wasnt which ehen they was watching me made me feel really self conscious. All in all i think cullen bay is half a star they need to be more professional the hotel itself needs updating its so old fashioned and its only main focus is the viewpoint. My friend also stayed at this hotel and they told us that the toom they stayed in was horrible it was old looking it smelt bad and the toilet only flushed and re filled every half an hour. Cullen bay you need to get a grip! Dont reccommend this hotel at all.
